Kevin and Lauren- Engagement

  • ~About Kevin and Lauren~
So Kevin and I met while both working for Chase in early 2011. It wasn't until July 27th 2011 that I could convince the man to take me out on a date however. When he first started I was easily settled into my job and comfortable with my coworkers, and Kevin was quiet as a mouse. It was good to have another male in the branch because the hen house was getting crowded and it didn't hurt that he so kindly favors Prince William. I would say by about 5 months in of working together most everyone in the branch EXCEPT Kevin knew that I thought he was the best looking thing to have ever put on a neck tie...and he wasn't picking up on the hints I was layin down. I mean "You'll have to take me to the track with you sometime...I would love to go" shouldn't really get you a "yeah you should go, it's fun...did you need a receipt"... I was not clearly getting my point across. For fear that Mr. Quiet wouldn't take well to me walking in with a sign flashing I THINK YOU ARE REALLY HOT YOU SHOULD DATE ME!! I used a more subtle approach...I told the biggest loud mouth in the branch that I thought he was "yummy". Then I went on vacation for a week Success, kinda, I came back from my time off to all sorts of goodies. Nina had told Kevin I thought he was yummy (and apparently his response was..doesn't she have a boyfriend?) and Nina had also set me up on a blind date with her cousin. Feeling obligated, I went, and as nice as the guy was he apparently knew Kevin's family very well and I kid you not Kevin Quick is like
all he talked about. So I kinda decided that after that date I would just risk the sexual harassment charges and see what he thought about the fact that I think he is yummy. Apparently he kinda liked it  Thank goodness. And after a horrible start to our first date, (for me anyways, speeding ticket, running late, hair NOT being nice to me) everything has been pretty much perfect. Being together was just so completely comfortable and although both of us will tell you we weren't looking for a relationship that is exactly what we have...after our first date, which was beer and baseball and dinner because I demanded that I was not a 'guy' friend and he had to feed me, I came home and told my Dad that I was going to marry this one, he's perfect!...and he absolutely has been. We are so excited to get to share the rest of our lives together. I used to think it was silly to think you have a soul mate and that one person could be made so that they compliment and complete you so perfectly. I don't anymore and I know he does too whenever he tells me that he would be lost without me. From day one I've always felt lucky to know him and every day I feel blessed to love him and have him love me. But in November we will both be the luckiest people alive because we get to marry our soul mates and I don't believe that is something everyone is able to do. Kevin proposed at Ruths Chris working with the manager to have his proposal written in chocolate on our dessert plate, the publicity of it from such a quiet private person was unexpected but the simplicity of it was perfectly us. If the only thing in life we ever have is one another there is nothing more we could possibly need.

Very excited about their wedding this fall!  <3

JR and Morgan~ Proposal

JR found the sweetest way to proposal to Morgan by sending her on a scavenger hunt.  Each place that she went to had a note with a hints such as, how they met, who introduced them and where they had their first date.  Congratulations to this sweet couple and I can't wait for the engagement pictures and wedding in the near future.
